First discovering yoga in 1998, Laura was initially drawn to the physical benefits of the practice. It wasn’t long until the realization of yoga’s ability to also heal the body set in and the need to share this knowledge with others became strong. Laura began teaching yoga in 2007. Further advanced training to hone the therapeutic approach followed in 2009, and in 2012, Laura completed the 500-hour Professional Teacher of Yoga Therapy certification, an advanced training program that focuses on the therapeutic aspects of yoga, and how it supports our health and wellness. Studying the works of Yogi greats like Sarah Powers, Paul Grilley, and Bernie Clark as well as observing her own students for almost a decade, Laura’s approach has evolved into one that is well rounded and compassionate, bringing knowledge and a sense of humour to the practice.
